Ostrava:
The Kazakhstan Davis Cup team played only one game against the Czech Republic on Saturday, but it suffered two losses as its players found their hotel rooms burgled, the CTK news agency said on Sunday.
Quoting police sources, CTK said the Kazakh players and Czech organisers found their notebooks, money and other items were gone when they returned from the doubles game in which Kazakhstan lost to the hosts.
Hotel managers said the burglar, who caused damages estimated at 415,000 koruna (17,000 euros, 24,000 dollars), was probably another hotel guest.
The Czech Republic took a 2-1 lead after Saturday's doubles. The remaining two singles games are scheduled for Sunday.
