Novak Djokovic has reached the Dubai Championships final for the third year running, defeating a hobbling Tomas Berdych who retired while trailing 6-7 (5), 6-2, 4-2 on Friday.
Berdych received medical treatment for an injured muscled in his left leg during the match.
Djokovic dropped the first set after committing a series of unforced errors. Berdych's strong serve produced eight aces. But Djokovic found his game in the second set and Berdych began to show signs of the leg injury.
Djokovic is the two-time defending champion at Dubai. He'll face either Roger Federer or Richard Gasquet in the final.
