Aishwarya Agarwal of Madhya Pradesh produced the major upset downing defending champion and second seed Ankita Raina of Gujarat in the women's singles of the National Grasscourt Championships at Calcutta South Club here on Tuesday.
Aishwarya had a 6-4 4-6 6-4 win in 140 minutes. Local challenger Mohana Sarker, a wild card defeated Indu Puniya of Haryana 6-3 7-5 while sixth seed Treta Bhattacharya beat qualifier Sagarika Phadke of Maharashtra 6-0 6-1.
