With 61 medals in the bag, this has been one of the finest campaigns for Indian athletes at the Commonwealth Games. A total of 215 athletes participated in Birmingham out of which 18 were from the armed forces. Out of those 18, India won 4 golds, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals including the likes of Deepak Punia and Deepak Nehra, whose road to glory was led from the wrestling node of the Indian Army, which is located at the Jat regiment in Bareilly.
