Maken: BCCI should share accounts with public

The government is trying hard to counter allegations that some of its senior-most ministers had vested interests in fighting a new Sports Bill that was intended to make sports organizations more transparent. Several ministers head sporting bodies. At a cabinet meeting last night, five of them objected to the changes the new Bill wanted to implement. The group consisted of Praful Patel, Farooq Abdullah, Sharad Pawar, CP Joshi and Vilasrao Deshmukh.
