Aanchal Thakur created history on Tuesday as she gave India the first-ever international medal in skiing. The 21-year-old, who hails from Manali, won bronze in Alpine Ejder 3200 Cup organised by the Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) in Turkey. The response to Aanchal's bronze medal-winning performance in Turkey has been overwhelming to say the least. She still can't believe that Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated her on the achievement in a sport that usually begs for attention. In an exclusive chat with NDTV, Aanchal said," I want to thank PM Narendra Modi and Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore Ji. When I got up, I saw their tweets and it was like a dream come true."
