Aditya Mehta qualifies for India Open snooker
Aditya, who won the World Games gold medal at Cali, Colombia in July, beat Xiao Guo Ding 61-17, 73-36, 107 (104)-9, 01-89 (88), 00-105 (105), 60-25 at Doncaster Dome, 20 kms from Sheffield in England on Monday.

Indian cueist Aditya Mehta notched up a 4-2 win over China's Xiao Guo Ding to join Pankaj Advani in qualifying for the inaugural Indian Open snooker championship to be held in New Delhi in October.
Aditya, who won the World Games gold medal at Cali, Colombia in July, beat Xiao Guo Ding 61-17, 73-36, 107 (104)-9, 01-89 (88), 00-105 (105), 60-25 at Doncaster Dome, 20 kms from Sheffield in England on Monday.
Tony Drago, Peter Ebdon, Nigel Bond, Marco Fu, James Wattanna, Ding Junhui, Liang Wenbo, Yu de Lu, Mark Selby, Neil Robertson, Alister Carter, Michael Holt, Mark Williams, Joe Perry, John Higgins & Ken Doherty also qualified for the October 14-18 event in New Delhi.
The famous one's who missed out are Steve Davis, Jimmy White, Alfie Burden, Judd Trump, Alex Bora, Shaun Murphy and Mathew Stevens.
On Monday, eight-time World Champion Pankaj Advani had blanked Briton Matthew Selt 4-0 to qualify for the Indian Open, a premier championship.
