Sharath Kamal in pre-quarters at Swedish Open
Ace Indian paddler Achantha Sharath Kamal overcame a second game lapse to beat higher-ranked Li Hu to move to the pre-quarterfinals of the Swedish Open, an ITTF Pro Tour being held in Stockholm.

Ace Indian paddler Achantha Sharath Kamal overcame a second game lapse to beat higher-ranked Li Hu to move to the pre-quarterfinals of the Swedish Open, an ITTF Pro Tour being held in Stockholm.
The 75th ranked Kamal beat his world number 31 rival from Singapore 11-8, 5-11, 11-6, 11-9, 11-5 in the round of 32.
Earlier, Kamal had blanked Australia's Henez Willam 12-10 11-5 11-3 11-7.
Kamal will next face second seeded Chinese Ma Long.
In the Youth Boys section, India's rising stars, Soumyajit Ghosh and Harmeet Desai have also booked pre-quarterfinal berths.
