Gurpreet Singh Wins 25m Standard Pistol Gold in Shooting Nationals
Gurpreet Singh won the men's 25m standard pistol gold on day nine of the 59th National Shooting Championships in New Delhi.

Gurpreet Singh, who holds a quota for the Rio Olympics, secured gold in the 25m standard pistol event in the National Shooting Championships.

Army marksman Gurpreet, who has been a bit off-colour during the Nationals, came into his own in this non-Olympic event, shooting a score of 573, a clear two points ahead of second placed Mahaveer Singh of Rajasthan, to claim top honours.

Harpreet Singh representing Haryana claimed the bronze at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range.
The day also saw the commencement of the men's 10m air rifle and the women's 50m rifle 3 positions qualification rounds.
