Russian gymnast Boris Shaklin won a remarkable seven gold medals in three consecutive Olympic Games - Melbourne in 1956, Rome in 1960 and Tokyo in 1964.
The highlight of his long career was undoubtedly the Rome Games when he won the all-around gold, after also topping the podium in the pommel horse, vault and parallel bars.
Shaklin, who retired from competition aged 35 after suffering a heart attack, also won four silver and two bronze medals.
