After a mundane start to the Rio Olympics 2016, India would hope to turn the tide on Sunday. Shooter Heena Sidhu and Indian women's archery team will be the two medal contenders. Following is the India-specific Rio Olympics 2016 schedule. Live streaming will also be available.
SHOOTING
5:30 PM IST: Women's 10m Air pistol qualification - The event will have India's Heena Sidhu, 2013 World Cup gold medallist.
6:00 PM IST: Men's trap qualification round - Manavjit Sandhu and Kynan Chenai will compete in it. Sandhu is a two-time World Cup gold medallist, while Chenai is a Commonwealth Youth Games (2008) gold medallist.
7:30 PM IST: The final of Women's 10m Air pistol starts. But Sidhu has to qualify for it.
ARCHERY:
6.45 PM IST: Women's team 1/8 Eliminations - India vs Colombia
The team comprising Deepika Kumari, Bombayla Devi and Laxmirani Majhi would hope to bounce back after a bad show in the ranking round. The medal matches will be held at 1:09 AM IST (Bronze, Monday) and 1:37 AM IST (Gold, Monday) but India need to cross the initial hurdles first.
ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS:
11:00 PM IST - Women's Qualification - Subdivision 3 - Dipa Karmakar, India's first female gymnast to qualify for the Olympics, needs to clear the first hurdle.
HOCKEY
7:30 PM IST: Indian women's team opens it campaign against Japan. Indian women have qualified for the Olympics after 36 years and would hope to make the opportunity count.
