RCB beat MI by 18 runs! Sherfane Rutherford smashed Romario Shepherd for four sixes in the final over to narrow down the defeat margin for Mumbai Indians. Royal Challengers Bengaluru still clinch an 18-run victory. They are back on the winning track. MI, on the other hand, suffer their third consecutive defeat.

After the 19th over, Rasikh Salam Dar was initially set to bowl the final one, but he had to leave the ball. Romario Shepherd was eventually brought into the attack instead. It appears the decision was taken by the fourth umpire, as Rasikh had been off the field for a considerable period of time.

Suryakumar Yadav missed his sweep shot on the fourth ball of Krunal Pandya's third over. The ball hit SKY on the front foot and RCB appealed for an LBW. Rajat Patidar was somehow convinced to take it upstairs only to find out that the ball would have missed the leg stump.

Both were tight calls, and Kohli could have easily avoided wasting the DRS. "Obviously would have bowled first. But as you all know, it's a good batting track. The ball comes nicely onto the bat with good bounce. So honestly, it won't make too much difference. We enjoy it a lot here. Whenever we come, we see great crowds. It's challenging, but at the same time, fun and exciting. "We're going to bowl first. Looks like a good track. We played the first game on the other pitch, this looks similar. It's always good to bat second here. I think it's a big game. Here is the toss result! Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has won the toss and opted to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their IPL 2026 game tonight.

Mitchell Santner is likely to back for MI after missing the game against DC due to an injury. He trained with MI both on Friday and Saturday and is likely to slot back in for Allah Ghazanfar.

MI have historically dominated this fixture and lead 21-14 in head-to-head record against RCB, but the last five games have been pretty competitive, with the defending champions winning three of them. 

Virat Kohli needs 78 runs to complete 1,000 runs against Mumbai Indians in the IPL. If he reaches this milestone, Kohli will become the first player to score 1,000 or more runs against five different teams in the tournament's history. Currently, no other player has achieved this feat against more than two teams.
