Ruturaj Gaikwad is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his knock of 99 from just 57 balls. Says that he feels good that his knock has ended up in a winning cause. Adds that when you have the backing of the support staff, it gets a bit easier. Tells that he doesn't believe in form as you start every new inning from zero. Shares that he enjoys playing against pace bowlers. Mentions that there is a lot of thought process going into every game and he prepares well. Talking about batting with Devon Conway, Gaikwad replies that he told the Kiwi batter to take his time as it was just his second game of the season. MS Dhoni, the winning captain of Chennai, says that it was a very good score on the board and it becomes slightly easy for the bowlers when this happens. Feels that the phase when the spinners bowled worked really well for them. Mentions that dew makes it tough and as a chasing team, if you start well, 200 is still chasable. Despite this win, Chennai would look to address a few areas. Their fielding was abysmal as they dropped multiple catches and this is one aspect MS Dhoni talked about as well at the toss. The bowling too in the Powerplay wasn't on the money and towards the end, they leaked far too many boundary balls.
