With 153.47, Chris Gayle, with little doubt, has the highest strike rate in World T20. He was also the first one to hit a World T20 century (against South Africa in 2007).
With 16 catches to his name, South Africa's wicket keeper-captain, AB de Villiers has the most number of catches in World T20.
Shahid Afridi is a bowler's nightmare with the bat, but he also has the highest number of World T20 wickets to his credit. Till date he has collected 20 wickets with his best being 4/11.
Sri Lanka scored the most number of runs ever in a World T20 match when they thumped Kenya in 2007 with a massive total of 260/6.
Pakistan has always given great fast bowlers. No wonder the best figures in a World T20 match belongs to Umar Gul when he took five wickets against New Zealand in 2009.
Adam Gilchrist may have long given up international cricket, but the feat of most dismissals by a keeper in a single World T20 still lies with him. Gilly has nine dismissals in his kitty from the 2007 tournament.
With one champions and a runners-up title, Pakistan are one of the best T20 teams. No wonder Kamran Akmal, Misbah Ul Haq and Shahid Afridi are the three players in the world to have featured in most number of World T20 matches. They have all played 20 each.
The man who led India to become the first champions of the tournament, MS Dhoni, has played the most number of World T20 matches as a captain. He shares the feat with England's World T20 winning skipper, Paul Collingwood. Both has played 17 matches each.
