India stayed alive in their quest to qualify for the semi-finals after defeating Bangladesh by one run in a thrilling match in Bangalore.

Ravindra Jadeja got rid of Mashrafe Mortaza while Ashwin sent back Shakib Al Hasan to throw the game wide open.

Hardik Pandya was entrusted to bowl the final over as India had to defend 11 runs to stay in the competition.

However, after conceding two fours, Pandya bounced back and picked up two wickets as Bangladesh choked. Heading into the final ball, they needed two runs off one ball.

However, on the final ball, Shuvagata tried to run a bye but Dhoni moved forward and whipped the bails off to catch the batsman short as India won a thrilling match by one run.

India's victory has kept them in the hunt for the semi-finals and their last league game against Australia is a virtual shoot-out.
