MPHA, Chandigarh enter semi-finals of sub-junior women's hockey tournament
In the first semi-final, MPHA will face Jharkhand while Haryana will take on Chandigarh in the second last four match to be played on Sunday.

Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy (MPHA) and Chandigarh entered the semi-finals of women's competition of the third Hockey India Sub-Junior Men and Women National Championship (Final) 2013 at SAI Centre, here on Friday.
MPHA defeated Karnataka 6-1 in their last pool A encounter. The goal scorers for MPHA were Upasna (10th minute), Anuja (39th, 52nd), Preeti (40th), Karishma (65th) and Neha (70th) while Spurthi (12th) scored the only goal for Karnataka.
In the other match of pool A, Chandigarh beat Odisha 2-0. Chandigarh scored through Sarabdeep Kaur (19th) and Saroj (34th).
In the first semi-final, MPHA will face Jharkhand while Haryana will take on Chandigarh in the second last four match to be played on Sunday.
In the men's category, Jharkhand, Odisha and MPHA qualified for the semi-finals to be played on Sunday.
Kumud Ekka and Sudhir Mundu scored twice each as Jharkhand registered 6-5 win over Karnataka in pool A to enter the semi-finals.
Karnataka was leading 4-1 till half time but Jharkhand came from behind and scored five goals in the second half to register their second consecutive win in the tournament.
Jharkhand scored through Kumud Ekka (22nd), Amit Bhengra (37th), Sudhir Mundu (43rd, 60th), Budu Tuti (46th, 62nd) while Karnataka scored through Aron Saroj Anand (14th, 27th, 29th) and Kumud Ekka (48th). The other goal for Karnataka came through an own goal.
In the other match of pool A, Odisha thrashed Hockey Maharashtra 9-0 to enter the semi-finals.
Odisha scored through Sudhir Kujur (3rd, 68th), Suraj Minz (4th), Punit Kujur (7th), Ashwin Kujur (22nd), Amit (27th), Dipshan (34th), Tikie Kujur (43rd) and Ashish Toppo (56th).
MPHA defeated Chandigarh 3-0 in pool B. MPHA scored through Manish Gurung (30th, 63rd) and Arjun Sharma (48th) while Chandigarh failed to score any goal.
