A blemish-free back-nine studded with an eagle helped Shiv Kapur turn in a one-under 70 and rise to the tied 37th spot after the penultimate round of the BMW Italian Open golf tournament here.
Kapur's three-day total stood at two-under 211. The Delhi-pro dropped strokes on the second and fourth hole before making some amends with a birdie on the sixth.
One-over at the turn, Kapur broke par with an eagle on the 10th hole. The Indian then played steady and parred theremaining holes to round off a reasonably good on the course.
Argentine Daniel Vancsik (69) held a one-stroke lead going into the final round with a total of 202.
Finland's Roope Kakko (68) held the second spot, while the third spot was shared by the Thomas Aiken (66) and Gareth Maybin (70) with totals of 204.
