Delhi's Gurbani Singh clinched Usha Chandigarh Ladies and Junior girls golf championship despite a five-over 77 final round as she comfortably beat closest rival Gursimar Badwal by 11 strokes, on Friday.
Gurbani, the pre-tournament favourite, led right through the three day competition as she was the only golfer to card a sub-par round on Day 2 of the tournament.

Gurbani had her worst day of the tournament on Friday, finishing with a score of five over 77, to end with a cumulative score of 220. It however proved to be more than sufficient in the end and was also the equal best score of the day.
She had ended Day 2, 10 strokes to the good and did one better today. She registered a total of five bogeys and one double bogey to go with one birdie on the final day.
Gursimar matched Gurbani in the score for the day, carding six bogeys and a birdie in the process, but a score of 8 over 80 on Day 2, had already dashed all her hopes for the title.
Tvesa Malik finished third overall and carded a 6 over 78 on the final day. Ridhima Dilawari and Gauri Monga finished fourth and fifth respectively and Millie Saroha, who was expected to give the best fight to Gurbani before the tournament, ended seventh with a total score of 236.

The IGU Ladies tour moves to Gurgaon's Classic Golf Resort next (Oct 8-11) and with a total of three more tournaments to go for the tour to conclude, Gurbani is looking good to again emerge as the best Ladies Amateur Golfer of the country.
