Rahil Gangjee sank four birdies against two bogeys in a round of 68 to move up from 58th to tied 25th, which helped him make the cut at the Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open here.
However, Daniel Chopra shot 72 and 74 and missed the cut, which came at three-over 143.
Gangjee, playing his Rookie Year on the Nationwide Tour, need a good finish to come inside top-60 and qualify for the Nationwide Tour Championships next week.
He had birdied on first and fourth on front nine and added two more on 15th and 16th. He dropped bogeys on 13th and 14th holes.
Gavin Coles, Brian Stuard and overnight co-leader Tim Wilkinson shared the lead at six-under 134.
Coles and Stuard fired 64 each and Wilkinson had a 67. Scott Gardiner (64) and James Nitties (67) are tied fourth at 135.
