Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel has set the fastest time in practice on Friday ahead of Sunday's Formula One Singapore Grand Prix.

Vettel edged McLaren's Jenson Button and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, with the presence of three different teams atop the time-sheets indicating a close fight in the race.

Red Bull's Mark Webber and McLaren's Lewis Hamilton were fourth and fifth in the night session, while the other championship contender Kimi Raikkonen was down in 12th after a hydraulics problem.
