Teenage sensation Max Verstappen went fastest for Toro Rosso on the third morning of the second Formula One pre-season test in Barcelona on Saturday.
The 17-year-old beat multiple world champions Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel into second and third respectively with a time of 1min 24.739sec.
For once Mercedes were also beaten when it came to mileage as Hamilton only managed 41 laps.
The reigning double world champions have had problems with illness and injury in Barcelona as Hamilton missed most of day one due to a fever, while teammate Nico Rosberg is struggling with a back problem.
Vettel was embarrassed on his first lap of the day as his Ferrari had to be retrieved from the gravel track, but recovered well as the positive early season signs for the Italians continued.
However, the same can't be said for McLaren as their Honda-powered car again suffered reliability issues as Jenson Button broke down on the track early in the session and only managed 12 laps before lunch.
