At the end of the Qualifiers of the Bahrain Grand Prix, Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel was back at what he does best, as he posted the fastest time to take pole position. A look at how he and other drivers fared at the Sakhir circuit. (AFP images)

It was a good day for Red Bull as the defending champion took pole position, just ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Vettel went ahead towards the end, to finish first.

Hamilton gave his best but had to be content with his second place. The McLaren team however, could not be found complaining as Jenson Button finished fourth.

He would have wanted to finish in the top three but Button found himself placed fourth.

Mark Webber though, ensured that Red Bull had two drivers finish in the top three as he came third in the Qualifiers.

Nico Rosberg was unable to replicate his Chinese GP Qualifying performance but he held the Mercedes flag high as he finished fifth.

Ferrari fared poorly as Fernando Alonso barely made it to the top ten, scraping to ninth position. His team mate Felipe Massa came fourteenth.

Force India performed decently thanks to Paul di Resta coming in at the tenth position, ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and team mate Nico Haulkenberg who took up the thirteenth spot.
