Force India managed to take a single point from the Malaysian Grand Prix as Paul di Resta finished the race at the 10th spot. His team-mate Adrian Sutil managed to come in a place behind despit a minor collision with Rubens Barrichello of the Williams ealry on in the race.
Starting the race at the 14th position, di Resta began the race on a steady note despite a tyre stop early on. The Scot then battled with Nico Rosberg and finished the race just behind Michael Schumacher's Mercedes GP. He however said that the fresh tyres on the car of the former world champion made it difficult for him to take the 9th spot. "The team did a good job with the strategy. I just could not hold off Michael at the end, he had fresher tyres and we had to stop a bit earlier for my third stop than predicted. But I also did not want to risk the championship point as well," he said.
It was Sutil though who managed to not just finish the race after a collision that damaged the nose of his car but climbed from his 17th position on the grid to the 11th by the chequered flag. "The first few laps were not brilliant as I lost my front wing touching Barrichello's rear tyre. But the team did a great job with the pitstops so I'd like to thank them for that," he said.
