Severely injured Formula One great Michael Schumacher's 16-year-old son Mick Schumacher suffered Saturday his first crash in Formula Four but escaped unhurt.
He ploughed into tyres at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria but was able to climb out of the car and give the thumbs-up to show he was alright, AFP's subsidiary SID reported.
After a successful karting career, the young Schumacher began Formula Four this season, winning his first victory in April in only his third race.
His seven-times Formula One champion father Michael, 46, was in a coma for 189 days after a December 2013 skiing accident. His manager said in May that he was making progress but that his recovery will be lengthy.
