New Delhi:
Get ready for duels that will be fought for longer come the Korean Grand Prix this weekend. Organisers at Yeongam have reportedly confirmed that the Drag Reduction Zone (DRS) has been lengthened for the race this Sunday.
After reducing the distance for the Japanese Grand Prix this year, the FIA has said that the DRS zone has been extended by 80m. This according to a report published in Sky Sports on Wednesday.
A distance of a kilometer after turn two and before turn three will now provide trailing cars with a bit more space to make use of their rear wings in a bid to improve their position.
FIA has been constantly assess the length of DRS zones since it introduced it in the 2011 season.
