India's F1 track among World's Top 5: Karthikeyan

Narain Karthikeyan, India's first Formula One driver, has ranked the Buddh International Circuit, which was officially unveiled on Tuesday, among the best five F1 tracks in the world.

The Buddh Circuit in Greater Noida will host the first ever Indian Grand Prix on October 30.

Karthikeyan, who is part of Hispania Racing team, was present at the venue that had been kept under wraps for long, generating curiosity as well as speculations.

Spread over 875 acres, the length of the track is 5.14 kilometers. The fastest lap time on the track is expected to be under 1 minute 27 seconds with average speeds crossing 210 kmph.

The circuit was opened to the media on Tuesday for a full-day tour of the track, the stands and the facilities. An impressive car show culminated the event.

Teams, drivers, cars and equipment will start joining in now, with the race being scheduled for 30th October.
