Sao Paulo:

Brazilian league leaders Sao Paulo comfortably beat Atletico Sorocaba 3-0 in the Campeonato Paulista. A first half goal by Luis Fabiano was followed in the second half by two in five minutes from Souza and Marquinhos. It extends the home side's lead at the top of the Group 1 table to six points after five wins and a draw from their first six matches. Eighth in the standings before the match, mid-tabled Sorocaba made most of the early running - notably from winger Luciano Henrique - but it was the hosts who managed to convert the few chances they had into goals.
