River Plate drew 1-1 with Lanus in Argentina's Clausura championship.

Buenos Aires:

Marcelo Salas scored a seventy-third minute goal to rescue a point for leaders River Plate as they drew 1-1 with Lanus, in Argentina's Clausura championship. The home side had gone behind in the fifty first minute to a goal by Roman Diaz in a Lanus side that had been reduced to ten men just three minutes into the second half when Lucas Alessandria was sent off for a second bookable offence. The result sees River drop to second in the championship with Estudiantes taking over pole position after their 3-2 win at home to Almagro. (AP)
