Seville, Spain:
Spanish Primera League champions Valencia were held to one-all draw away to Real Betis on Saturday at the Manuel Ruiz de Lopera Stadium in Seville.
Claudio Ranieri's men, beaten by Werder Bremen in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, took the lead in the 10th minute when Marco Di Vaio fired home from the edge of the area.
But Betis deservedly equalised after 30 minutes when Edu converted a Ricardo Oliveira cross.
Italian international striker Bernardo Corradi squandered the best chance for a winner in the closing seconds.
Valencia remain unbeaten in La Liga and hold a one-point lead, but Barcelona can move two points clear at the top if they win their game in hand at home against Numancia. (AP)
