Maniche joins Chelsea for third time

Portuguese midfielder Maniche moved to Chelsea on a six-month loan deal from Dynamo Moscow.

Portuguese midfielder Maniche moved to Chelsea on a six-month loan deal from Dynamo Moscow. The decision as taken with a view to completing a transfer at the end of the season. He played for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho at Benfica and FC Porto, winning UEFA Cup and Champions League titles while at Porto. Maniche gives Mourinho a replacement at Chelsea for Ghanaian midfielder Michael Essien, who is expected to be out of action for two to three weeks, either through injury or at the African Nations Cup.
