Full Time Analysis
It was Nigeria's pace on the counter which led to them breaking the scoreless first half. Victor Moses ran down the right flank and found Ahmed Musa in the box to tuck it home. Iceland were unable to break from their very defensive play style, which led to Musa's second goal, using his pace to get around the Iceland defense and patiently slotted home his second goal of the game. A VAR decision rewarded Iceland with a penalty kick, but Gylfi Sigurdsson was unable to take advantage of the situation by blasting the ball over the bar. Nigeria now go on to face Argentina, while Iceland take on Croatia next Tuesday in their final match of the Group Stage.

Halftime Analysis
Iceland will be happy going into the half after many late chances right before the whistle. Iceland started the game with an early shot from Gylfi Sigurdsson off a free kick. In a game that has been played mostly in the midfield third, the Icelander's have been able to shut down Nigeria's pace and been able to slow down the game, and dictate the tempo through Aron Gunnarsson's effort in the midfield. Nigeria will hope to be more creative in the attacking third, having been held to zero shots. If either team looks to get on the scoreboard, managers Gernot Rhor (Nigeria) and Heimir Hallgrimsson (Iceland) will have to make a few changes in the second half in hopes to break the 0-0 deadlock.

Nigeria
Nigeria come into this match hoping to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat against Croatia. The team with the flashiest jerseys of the tournament will look for flashy wingers Victor Moses and Ahmed Musa to provide width and pace for the Nigerian's today.
0'
Iceland
Iceland come into this game after a very impressive performance against Group favorites Argentina, earning themselves one point in a 1-1 tie. The smallest nation ever to qualify for the World Cup look to win the three points today, which will let the Icelander's control their own destiny in their final match against Croatia to qualify for the knock-out round. Iceland will look for experienced midfielders Gylfi Sigurdsson and Aron Gunnarsson to dictate the tempo of the match and control the game.
