Group F Matchday 2 – Korea Republic vs. Mexico
Last Sunday Group F co-leaders Mexico shocked the world and possibly themselves by defeating title holders Germany 1-0. The combination of bright Mexican counter-attacking and a sluggish German midfield resulted in a famous victory for the top qualifiers from CONCACAF. After that emotional rush and release manager Juan Carlos Osorio will hope his team can maintain the same aggressive focus against a side with fewer weapons but lots of motivation to find a result here in Rostov. <br> Bottom of the group after losing to Sweden 1-0 in their opener, Korea Republic can only do better in attack today. The Koreans were outplayed in every part of the pitch and did not have a single shot on target in a largely uneventful game. The lone goal came via penalty confirmed through video review but Korea never looked capable of an equalizer in the final third.
