Crotone, Italy:

Bulgaria striker Valeri Bojinov scored twice as Juventus beat Crotone 3-0 for its second win in Italy's Serie B on Tuesday. Juventus improved to 2-1-0 and now has minus 10 points. The Turin club was relegated to the second division and began the season with a 17-point penalty for its leading role in the Italian match-fixing scandal. Lecce and Brescia lead Serie B with seven points each. Bojinov put Juventus ahead in the 30th minute, converting from close-range off a cross from Marcelo Zalayeta. Six minutes later, France defender Jean-Alain Boumsong scored on a header off a corner kick. In the 77th, Bojinov found the net again, dribbling alone on a counterattack and easily beating Crotone goalkeeper Salvatore Soviero. It was the first goals for Bojinov and Boumsong with Juventus. Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero missed the match with an inflamed tendon. Crotone midfielder Ricardo Veron sent a shot just over the crossbar in the 44th. Fans in this southern Calabrian town filled 9,631-seat Ezio Scida stadium beyond capacity. At a nearby hospital overlooking the stadium, more fans hung their heads out of windows to get a glimpse of the match. Juventus next hosts Modena on Saturday. (AP)
