Joseph Clement's own goal helped Mumbai FC to rally from behind and hold Sporting Clube de Goa to a 1-1 draw in the Hero I-League football tournament here on Wednesday.
Sporting took the lead in the 12th minute through Alber Gonsalves before a self goal in the 61st minute, when defender Clement's attempted clearance saw the ball land into his own goal, brought Mumbai back into the game.
Sporting now have 11 points from 15 matches while Mumbai FC have collected 15 points from 15 matches.
Sporting, boosted by their win in the last match against Salgaocar, played with lot of thrust as their defense and midfield combined well. They received an early set back when they lost Odafe Okalie through injury, but that did not deter them from attacking as they made inroads with repeated forays.
