African Player of the Year Samuel Eto'o completed a US$ 29.41 million move to Barcelona on Thursday after Real Madrid decided not to exercise their option on the Real Mallorca striker. The 23-year-old Cameroon international signed a four-year deal with his new club and will wear the number nine shirt previously worn by Patrick Kluivert. This time, Samuel Eto'o is the man in question - a man not afraid to make an awkward racial reference. "I can't promise the fans that I'll score fifty goals, but I can promise that I'll run like a nigger to be able to live like a white man," said Eto'o. He leaves Real Madrid for Barcelona a slightly bitter man. Real had the chance to sign him permanently from Real Mallorca. They chose not to.
