David Beckham says he feels fit enough to start the biggest game in Paris Saint-Germain's recent history when the ambitious club takes on Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal on Tuesday.
PSG has not played in the quarterfinals of the competition since 1995, when a 19-year-old Beckham was just breaking into the Manchester United team, and that year it beat Barca in the last eight.
After joining the French leader in a surprise move in January, Beckham has shown he can keep the pace even at the age of 37. He made a good impact as a substitute in Friday night's 1-0 home win against Montpellier, which moved PSG provisionally eight points clear in the league.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, he says "I feel fit enough to start."
