Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has accused former manager Andre Villas Boas of sidelining him, saying he will never forgive him for the manner in which the Portuguese coach spoke to and treated him.
Speaking to Sport Wereld, the 19-year-old Belgian player said that he was given no explainantion for being sidelined. "there is one person that I will never forgive for what he did to me - the previous coach. It's not just that. It was also the way he spoke to me and treated me. Right from the beginning, it was weird. I could not stand how he was treating me. I received no explanation," he said.
Saying he learned nothing under Boas, Lukaku said he knew the 34-year-old manager was under pressure but that he had to think of himself as a player too. "In training he put me on the right or left wing. In training matches I was a substitute with a shirt to keep swapping teams. I really learned nothing! I have told the club that too."
