Batistuta injured in clash with Parma defender

Argentine striker Gabriele Batistuta was knocked unconscious during a Series A match against Parma.

There are barely six weeks to go before the World Cup starts and Argentina's Gabriele Batistuta has suffered an injury. Batigol as he is popularly referred to was taken off the filed in a stretcher with blood streaming from his head after a clash in a Series A game. Batistuta was knocked unconscious after he got an accidental kick from a Parma defender. The Argentine needed eight stitches on his cut lip, but there are no complications and he should be back in training within two or three days.
