Alessandro Del Piero's Australian debut delayed again

Alessandro Del Piero's debut with A-League football club Sydney FC has been further delayed by the cancellation of a second pre-season match.

Former Juventus star Del Piero was due to play for Sydney in a closed doors, pre-season match against Central Coast in Sydney on Wednesday, but the match has been called off at the request of Central Coast coach Graham Arnold and Del Piero may not make his Sydney debut before his A-League opener against Wellington on Oct. 6.

An earlier, scheduled practice match against Newcastle was also cancelled.

Del Piero was presented with his No. 10 jersey at a special ceremony on Sunday.
