AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti praised his team following their Champions League victory over Bayern Munich in Milan on Wednesday. The Italian club progressed to the quarterfinals with a 4-1 win over the Bundesliga side in the second leg of their round of 16 tie. Filippo Inzaghi scored twice, while Andriy Shevchenko and Kaka added one each for the home side. Valerien Ismael scored Bayern's only goal. "We dreamed of a match like this. We played with great attention and quality, with all the players making a contribution," said Carlo Ancelotti, AC Milan coach. Ancelotti said his team identified and attacked a weakness in the visitors' defence. Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath said a questionable decision cost his side dearly. "We conceded a goal from a suspect offside and this changed the match in a way we did not expect. We were obliged to attack," said Magath. With a 5-2 win on aggregate, AC Milan became the second Italian club to book a place in the quarterfinals alongside Juventus. (AP)
