As far as the story of Group C is concerned, Brazil qualify or the Round of 32 as the winners while Morocco join them as runners-up. Scotland are still in the fray!

90' Neymar looks to get on the scoresheet himself but his effort is straight at the goalkeeper. Scotland have looked insipid the entire game and that's the story for them today. Brazil, meanwhile, are set to qualify for the Round of 32 as Group C winners. 6 minutes of stoppage time added on. 

86' Brazil not letting Scotland off the hook, even at this stage of the game, where they have a 3-0 lead. Vinicius earns another corner after a brilliant passing move by the Samba boys. Neymar has been given the corner-kick duties since he came on. Brazil still working to get that 4th goal, especially with the new boys who have come on. 

81' Brazil on the counter again, and it’s Vinicius Jr. with another chance to complete his hat-trick. The pass, however, wasn’t in sync with the Real Madrid man.

Carlo Ancelotti makes two more changes as Douglas Santos and Rayan are replaced by Alex Sandro and Endrick.

79’ Another hat-trick opportunity for Vinicius, but his effort is saved by the Scotland goalkeeper. That’s a corner for Brazil and it’s Neymar who takes it. Brazil continue to look for that 4th goal, they simply don’t wan to take their foot off the pedal.

76' 3-0 up and dominating against Scotland, Brazil have introduced their icon Neymar now. 4-0 soon?

74' The moment we all wanted to see, it's Neymar Jr., who seems to be getting ready to come on for Brazil. There was a time when we didn't even think that he would make the cut in Carlo Ancelotti's squad for the World Cup. Now he is here, making his first appearance in this World Cup. 

66' Alisson!!! What a save by the Brazil No. 1 to deny Scott McTominay, the former Manchester United midfielder. Carlo Ancelotti makes multiple changes.

Gabriel Martinelli replaces Lucas Paqueta while Fabinho has come on for Casemiro. Still no Neymar Jr.

A few more half-chances go down as that elusive third goal continues to make Brazil wait. Matheus Cunha had the opportunity to add to Scotland's misery, but his shot was blocked. A rebound shot from his teammate also gets blocked. 

GOOAAALLLL! Brazil then launch another attack, and this time there's no mistake from Cunha. He adds to his goalscoring tally as Brazil make it 3-0.

57' Scotland with a great move in the Brazil penalty box, which even led to a player going down. A huge shout of penalty by Scotland but the referee says 'no foul'. Brazil look to hit Scotland on the counter through Vinicius but the goalkeeper is alert. 

52' That was a brilliant opportunity for Vinicius Jr. to complete a hat-trick, join Lionel Messi in the elite list. The Real Madrid man was through on goal, leaving the defender behind him, but his shot was efficiently saved by the Scotland goalkeeper. That was a big chance to make it 3-0. 

49' Brazil dominant on the ball again as the second half begins. Scotland win the ball on the left flank and produce an exquisite one-touch passing display to launch an attack. The attack, however, fizzles out in seconds. Scott McTominay is the target of a beautiful cross from the left flank, but his header is straight at the Brazil goalkeeper Alisson. Scotland need to attack with more conviction if they are to beat Brazil tonight!

Big change for Scotland as the second half begins. Steve Clarke gives a chance to Kieran Tierney as Andrew Robertson is off.

Scotland can go through to the Round of 32 even if they finish 3rd as one of the best 8 third-placed teams in the group stage. 

That's that from the first half. Brazil would feel that they would've scored 3, maybe 4 goals in the first 45 minutes, but Scotland rode their luck on multiple occasions. It’s till quite a healthy lead considering how dominant Brazil have been in the first half.

The second Group C game, between Morocco and Haiti, meanwhile, has hit the halfway mark 2-2. As things stand, Brazil are going to top the Group C.

45 6' GOAAALLLL! It's Vinicius again. Scotland looked to be going into the second half with a 0-1 deficit, but Brazil found another opportunity and this time, there was no mistake by Vinicius. A beautifully headed goal by the Real Madrid forward to make it 2-0 for Brazil. 

45' That's almost a goal-line clearance from Scotland! Matheus Cunha struck a volley towards goal, but one of the Scottish defenders is quick enough to step in and make a crucial block. Brazil so close to making it 2-0 at the halfway mark. 6 minutes of stoppage time added!

42' Matheus Cunha with an audacious attempt to put the ball in the far right corner from the edge of the penalty box. The curl on the ball, however, isn't good enough. That's a goal kick for Scotland. 

38' Vinicus runs into Scotland's penalty box from the left flank and immediately has two defenders running with him. He gets dispossessed and takes a little while to stand back up. Scotland's counterattack fades as they lose possession. On the counter, it's Brazil's Rayan who looks to curl the ball into the top left corner with his left foot, but the attempt is a poor one. It was a decent opportunity

Scotland fails to make the most of the corner kick but manage to launch another attack. Ferguson tries his luck from the long range but it results in another corner for Scotland, who seemed to have decided that they are going to change the gear in this phase of the game. 

31' Scotland looking to come out of their shells, unshackle themselves as they eye the equaliser. Andy Robertson looks to put the ball in after a threatening run on the left flank but all he could do was earn a corner. 

25' Goal chalked off. The referee gives the decision in the favour of Scotland after finding that Vinicuis had fouled Hendry before scoring the second goal of the game. The game's first hydration break is also given, and Vinicius isn't happy.  

GOOAAALLLLL! What is going on? Another defensive mistake by Scotland, and it's Vinicius who is ready to pounce and make it 2-0. Horrendous, simply horrendous composure on the ball by the Scotland defenders. Brazil 2-0 up in the first quarter of the game. Wait, a VAR check is going on for Vinicius' potention foul on the scotland defender.

18' Scotland haven't had a sniff at the goal in the first phase of the game, with Brazil enjoying both possession and shooting opportunities. It's been a wait-and-see approach by Scotland so far. Matheus Cunha finds himself in space in the middle to dribble past a few opponents. Another opportunity for Brazil but Vinicius Jr. is dispossessed for a corner kick. 

13' Brazil's No. 9 for the day, Matheus Cunha takes a shot after receiving a good pass, but he fails to keep his effort from the edge of the box on target. It flies over the crossbar as another attack fizzles out for the 5-time world champions. 

8' GOOOAAAALLLLL! Wow, that was quick! It's Vinicius Jr. who makes the most of a horrendous mistake by Scotland centre-back McKena, who looked to pass the ball to his teammate but ended up getting dispossessed by Brazil's Rayan. Vini only had to put the ball in the back of an empty net. Brazil up 1-0

5' It's Brazil who seem to be enjoying more of the ball early in the game. That's not a surprise, is it? Neither team has managed to really find a weak area they wish to expose early in the game. Both still testing waters. 

1' Vinicius Jr. looks to launch Brazil's first attack from the left flank, but he is dispossessed. Lucas Paqueta says that he was fouled but the referee in no rush to get serious this early in the game. We are off!

The players have arrived on the pitch, the flags of Brazil and Scotland are out. The crowd joins the players in the middle as the two countries' national anthems are played in Miami. We are minutes away from this decisive Group C match in the FIFA World Cup 2026.
