24-year-old equestrian Anush Agarwalla is set to make history in Paris this summer, as he is set to become the first Indian to participate in the Olympics dressage. But, while he might be making his Olympics debut in Paris this summer, he stands an outside chance at bringing home a medal for India.
In 2022, Agarwalla became the first-ever male Indian to participate in the World Equestrian Championships. A year later, Agarwalla clinched bronze at the individual dressage and gold in the team dressage at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Hailing from Kolkata, Agarwalla has been practising his art from the age of three. Agarwalla was awarded the Arjuna Award in January 2024, and sealed his Olympics quota a month later.
