Indian owners of the Blackburn Rovers have requested fans to have patience and continue to support their team after a recent spate of losses led to demands for coach Steve Kean's resignations.

Indian owners of the Blackburn Rovers have requested fans to have patience and continue to support their team after a recent spate of losses led to demands for coach Steve Kean's resignations.

The BBC reported on Thursday that Venky's issued a statement asking suppoprters of the English club to 'help players renew confidence in themselves.' Blackburn has failed to win in this edition of the Premier League, losing to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Aston Villa and Everton and scraping to a 1-1 draw with Fulham. In fact, fans are expected to stage a demonstartion before the team's match against Arsenal on Sunday.

Owners Anuradha Desai, Balaji Rao and Venkatesh Rao issued a statement explaining that the owners, the management and the team is doing its best to stage a comeback. " We fully understand your feelings and share your disappointment. This is the time when fans can make a difference by lending their full support and to cheer their team more vigorously. On behalf of Venky's, we would like to reassure the fans that we are fully aware of our responsibilities towards them, the club and to football."
