Fulham will not play Dempsey against Manchester United

Fulham forward Clint Dempsey has been left out of his side's Premier League clash at Manchester United on Saturday as the American star continues to eye a move away from Craven Cottage.

Dempsey was dropped by Fulham manager Martin Jol for last week's 5-0 demolition of Norwich after agitating for a transfer to Liverpool.

The Reds went public with their interest in signing Dempsey during pre-season, but have angered Fulham by failing to follow up with a firm offer.

Jol slammed Liverpool's conduct last week and he still feels a distracted Dempsey is again not in the right state of mind to face United.

"It's the same situation. There has been no formal bid on the table and nothing has changed," Jol said on Thursday.
