Crystal Palace sign striker Dwight Gayle from Peterborough United
Gayle, 22, joins Palace on a four-year contract after a season in which he scored 20 times for Peterborough and third-tier Dagenham and Redbridge, with whom he turned professional only 12 months ago. "I'm ecstatic really. I just want to get pre-season started now," Gayle told the Palace website.

Premier League new boys Crystal Palace announced on Wednesday that they have signed striker Dwight Gayle from former Championship rivals Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.
"The chance came and I had to grab it because I might not get another chance. To be playing in the Premier League from where I've come from is a big achievement really."
Palace manager Ian Holloway said: "I'm absolutely delighted. But now it makes a huge statement for us and it proves that I don't care where I get my people from. I believe it's about how good you're going to be, not just how good you are already."
