Berlin:
Chelsea's Dutch international defender Jeffrey Bruma will stay at Hamburg for a second season, the Bundesliga club announced on Thursday.
"Jeffrey will stay with us next season," declared HSV sporting director Frank Arnesen, who added that the player "has developed and shown his capacity to perform in several different positions".
After making just six appearances in two seasons at Chelsea, 20-year-old Bruma moved to Hamburg on an initial 12-month loan deal and scored twice in 22 Bundesliga appearances in the season just finished.
He has been capped four times by the Netherlands but was not named in coach Bert van Marwijk's preliminary squad for Euro 2012.
