... THE RUN CHASE ...

On the other hand, USA Under-19 started off on a decent note and managed to pick up a wicket just at the end of the first Powerplay. They tried to put the pressure on the new batter but failed to get rid of him. However, they managed to get wickets late after the batters had set on the pitch. The fielding was also a mixed bag for the USA as they were a bit sloppy at the start but later on, they controlled their nerves and improved their performance. Arya Garg again had a good innings and picked up 3 wickets. He was suffering from a bit of cramp but he bounced back later in the innings. Aarin Nadkarni also managed to get 2 into his account. Parth Patel was exceptional out there in the field, taking two catches and also chipped in with a wicket. Ateendra Subramanian also picked up a wicket. The last ten overs were a bit expensive and it is a tough job for the USA batters to chase. Will they rise to the challenge? We shall find out.

Aarin Nadkarni is in for a chat. He says that it was a great experience to play his first game of the World Cup. Mentions that the wicket was doing a bit early on and wanted to make good use of it. Credits his teammates for their efforts in the field. Ends by saying that he backs his batters to get the job done.

A good finish to the innings for Bangladesh Under-19 and they will be happy with what they have got on the board. The patience has worked for the Bangla Tigers to put up a huge target on board to challenge the opposition's batters. Their batters played the majority of their innings at a slow pace, but they were rotating their strike and made sure that the scoreboard kept ticking. Their top-order batters were able to make a decent start to the innings. They made wealthy partnerships but none of those were looking dangerous or creating havoc problems for their opposition. Ariful Islam had a calm and composed knock by scoring a half-century partnering with Ahrar Amin. They were brilliant in terms of communicating with each other for running between the wickets. They had a partnership of 122 runs and anchored the innings exceptionally. The partnership broke with the dismissal of Ahrar as he fell 6 runs short of a half-century. But Ariful carried on and, scored a century. Md Shihab James also had a short cameo to stretch the score towards 300. But the lower middle order did just enough to put up 291 runs on the board.
