This is a classical slow left-armer's dismissal, beautifully flighted by Nauman Ali on a nagging length and a bit outside the off stump. The ball grips and turns away a bit as it is given a lot more air and Mathews has a little dab at it. The ball takes the outside edge and Rizwan does the rest. Just short of a length and close to the leg pole, it is there to be pulled. Dickwella looks to swivel-pull it fine but gets strangled down the leg side and ends up getting an edge on it. The ball is bowled at a decent height but it is the line that has done the trick. The ball is angled in towards the body and Dunith Wellalage tries his best to bend his back and sway away from the line of the ball. The ball goes off the gloves and pops up around the gully region. 97 OUT! LBW! Well, well, well. Pakistan have won the battle. Cannot really blame the umpire for not giving this out initially as the batter was way too far down the track. This is flatter around middle and leg, Prabath Jayasuriya comes down the track to block it but his bat gets stuck behind his back pad. He gets rapped on the pads and Yasir is up in elation. Yes, it was not even an appeal. Shah is confident that the batsman is out. Now, it is interesting to see Kumar Dharmasena's reaction. He stays still as a stone, almost waiting for Yasir to plead on his knees and then shakes his head after what seems a century, indicating that the batsman was far too forward. Shah looks at Rizwan and Babar, with the keeper smiling. He agrees it looks close but also cautions Babar that this might be a case of height as the batsman was way down the crease. Babar looks at the keeper and bowler, smiles and then takes the review. There is a bit of drift into the right-hander and then the ball just grips and turns away, a dream delivery for a slow left-armer. Agha Salman puts a big stride forward to defend but the ball takes the outside edge and de Silva takes a very good catch to his left at first slip. Salman has to walk back in disappointment as he fails to see out Day 2 but Sri Lanka have the breakthough they so desperately wanted.  191/7

There is a bit of turn on offer but once again Mohammad Nawaz looks to cut off the back foot rather than coming forward and this time he pays the price. The ball isn't short enough to cut and is too close to the stumps as well. Nawaz gets a thick outside edge that goes straight into the keeper's mitts. 88.1 OUT! LBW! That is it for the Pakistan innings. Ramesh Mendis gets his fifth wicket and he is delighted. He floats this up on middle, drifting in a bit, Yasir Shah leans on to defend but plays down the wrong line completely and gets wrapped around the pads. There is an appeal for LBW and the finger goes up this time. Yasir Shah opts for the review immediately. The UltraEdge shows that there is no bat involved and Ball tracking shows that the ball is clipping the leg-stump and it is umpire's call on wicket. It is looped up, full and on leg stump. Kusal Mendis gets down on one knee and tries to sweep it away but does not get bat on ball. The ball goes on to hit him on the pads. It looks plumb as it seems to be strightening rather than going on with the angle. Mohammad Nawaz makes a loud appeal and gets his first wicket of the innings.  59/3

Babar Azam is convinced by his bowler and takes the review. It is tossed up, around off, turning a touch off the deck. Angelo Mathews stays back and tries to block it away but does so inside the line. The ball seems to have bounced off the pads, as Babar Azam hops and grabs it at first slip. The UltraEdge though later confirms that there is a spike as the ball passes the blade. Abdullah Shafique there shows great reflexes and grabs it to his left. Babar Azam responds to him but is caught ball watching here. The skipper is too late to send his partner back. Alam has nowhere to go as he is left stranded in the middle of the pitch. The fielder throws the ball to the keeper and Niroshan Dickwella does the rest, as Alam is forced to continue his run back to the dressing room.  181/4
