3.1 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! He was looking uncomfortable in his short stay and Tanzim has relieved him of his misery. Back of a length, outside off, Pathum Nissanka looks to punch it through the off side but the ball nips back in slightly and also, bounces a shade extra. Nissanka is cramped for room and hence, gets a thick outside edge. The ball flies behind but the keeper, Litton Das, leaps to his right and takes it with one glove, in front of first slip. The in-form batter departs for an 8-baller and Sri Lanka are 5/1 after 3.1 overs! 5/1

| Nishan Madushka | 6 | 13 | 1 | 0 | 46.15 |
4.3 OUT! CHOPPED ON, BOWLED! Well, perhaps Madushka should not have called for that single on the previous ball! Both the Lankan openers are back in the hut, in the span of 9 balls. On a good length, outside off, Nishan Madushka looks to drive it on the up through the off side but his feet move nowhere. The ball comes in with the angle, cramps him for room and goes off the inside edge onto the stumps. Madushka stands there looking at his bat but has to depart eventually, for 6 (13). Sri Lanka are 11/2 after 4.3 overs! 11/2

| Kusal Mendis Wk | 45 | 43 | 6 | 1 | 104.65 |
19 OUT! LBW! The review is retained by Sri Lanka but Kusal Mendis has to go. Tanvir Islam gets his maiden ODI wicket and the 60-run stand has been broken. Beautifully thought about by the left-arm spinner. The previous ball was flighted and there was turn. But this one was delivered with the arm and there was a bit of drift into the right hander, from around the wicket. Mendis looked to defend but missed and was hit on the pads. This time, there was a bigger appeal, for LBW and the umpire raised his finger. Mendis had a long look at his stride and then had a chat with Asalanka. Signaled for the 'T'. UltraEdge detects nothing when ball is near the bat while Ball Tracking shows the ball to be clipping the outer half of leg stump, which returns an umpire's call. Unfortunate for Mendis, as he has to depart for a fantastic 45 (43). Sri Lanka are 89/4 after 19 overs! 89/4

| Kamindu Mendis | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
6.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Another batter dismissed while trying to play on the up. Honestly, very surprised to see the choice of shot played by Kamindu Mendis. Normally, he is very patient and likes to build his innings but perhaps, the situation and some inconsistent form over the past few months got to him. However, logically speaking, Taskin may not bowl again for a while beyond this over or at the most, beyond the 9th over. So, Kamindu could have seen him off. But he gets a length ball around off and he thinks that he can go over the top. Tries to drive it on the up over mid off but there is no footwork and he can only get it as far as mid off. Skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz gets across to his left from mid off and leaps to take the catch. Kamindu departs for a 4-ball duck and Sri Lanka are 29/3 after 6.1 overs! 29/3
| Charith Asalanka C | 106 | 123 | 6 | 4 | 86.17 |
49.1 OUT! CAUGHT! The marathon knock ends at last. Slower ball, fuller on middle, Charith Asalanka looks to whip it over the leg side but cannot quite get underneath the ball. He is early into the shot and mistimes this. Gets it high in the air and Najmul Hossain Shanto charges in from wide long on to take the catch. Asalanka departs for a fantastic 106 (123) and from 226/6, Sri Lanka are 243/9! 243/9
| Janith Liyanage | 29 | 40 | 4 | 0 | 72.50 |
31.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Would you believe it? The part-timer has broken the 64-run stand! Ohhh... Bangladesh are just beside themselves. A nothing delivery, and a nothing shot. Shanto flights this one, on middle and Janith Liyanage is down the track, just wanting to take the bowler on. But he is not quite to the pitch of the ball and still, goes through with his chip. Ends up hitting it straight to wide long on where Tanzim Hasan Sakib takes a dolly. Liyanage is distraught and trudges back, departing for 29 (40). Sri Lanka are 153/5 after 31.4 overs! 153/5
| Milan Rathnayake | 22 | 31 | 3 | 0 | 70.96 |
39.3 OUT! DRAGGED ON, BOWLED! Tanzim Hasan Sakib breaks the 39-run stand but this dismissal should worry Bangladesh. On a length, around off, the off cutter, Milan Rathnayake looks to steer it towards deep third but the ball stays low. Takes the bottom edge and goes onto hit the stumps. If there is no dew in the second innings, this might be trouble for the visitors. Rathnayake departs for 22 (31) and Sri Lanka are 192/6 after 39.3 overs! 192/6
| Wanindu Hasaranga | 22 | 22 | 3 | 0 | 100 |
45.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Taskin strikes straightaway in his new spell. On a length, outside off, Wanindu Hasaranga looks to pull but there is no pace on that delivery and the moment it is bowled, Hasaranga's shot comes off the bat, indicating how slowly it was bowled. The ball balloons in the air and long on comes running in a few yards. And it is the substitute fielder, Shamim Hossain. The 34-run stand has been broken and Hasaranga departs for an impressive 22 (22), where he did not just go ball bashing. Sri Lanka are 226/7 after 45.1 overs! 226/7
| Maheesh Theekshana | 1 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 50 |
45.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Second wicket in the over and now, Bangladesh have a serious chance of bowling the Lankans out. The cutter does the trick again. On a length, around off, coming in, Maheesh Theekshana looks to work it to the leg side but is done in by the lack of pace. Is early into the shot and only gets a leading edge, which pops up straight to Jaker Ali at short extra cover. Theekshana comes and goes for 1 (2) and from 226/6, Sri Lanka are now 228/8! Taskin now has 4 wickets as well. 228/8

| Eshan Malinga | 5 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 50 |
49.2 OUT! ESHAN MALINGA IS RUN OUT! Total chaos to end the innings. A length ball, outside off, Asitha Fernando backs away and slaps it towards mid off. Najmul Hossain Shanto is the fielder over there, who gets across to his left and fires a throw at the bowler's end. Asitha is well short but the throw misses the mark. Asitha then turns around and calls his partner through for the second on the overthrow. But Tawhid Hridoy charges in from square leg and stops the ball before it can go to the deep. Picks the ball up and fires a throw at the bowler's end, to catch Eshan Malinga well short. SRI LANKA HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 244! 244/10

4.4 OUT! CAUGHT! There goes the first wicket. A total waste. That's the way the new generation plays, not necessarily putting a price tag on their wicket. A short ball, around middle, Emon goes for the pull but the ball skids off the surface and hence, comes on much quicker than his anticipation. Additionally, the ball was angling away from him and hence, the batter had to drag the pull to the leg side. Got a top edge which went straight up in the air. A couple of fielders go for the catch but the keeper, Kusal Mendis calls for it. The ball swirls in the air and he nearly ends up running back and forth, but eventually, takes the catch safely. Parvez Hossain Emon departs for 13 (16) and Bangladesh are 29/1 after 4.4 overs! Equation - 216 from 272. 29/1

| Tanzid Hasan | 62 | 61 | 9 | 1 | 101.63 |
17.5 OUT! CAUGHT! That is a stunner and this game is wide and truly open! Wow. Does not take long for 101 to follow 100. Full, outside off, Tanzid Hasan looks to hammer this through mid off and for a major part of that event, it seems like the ball is in the gap. But Janith Liyanage races across to his right from mid off and literally flies, taking a terrific two-hander, actually going backwards! Also makes sure that despite the dive and the contact with the ground, the ball did not pop out. Tanzid departs for 62 (61) and from 100/1, Bangladesh have slipped to 102/4! Equation - 143 from 193. 102/4

| Najmul Hossain Shanto | 23 | 26 | 2 | 0 | 88.46 |
16.3 OUT! NAJMUL HOSSAIN SHANTO IS RUN OUT! What a bonus for Sri Lanka. They were looking down and out and this has come as a blessing to them. A straight delivery, around middle and leg, Najmul Hossain Shanto worked this through square leg and called for two. It seemed like the two was on because it was Shanto's call. But Milan Rathnayake charged onto the ball from deep backward square leg and returned a powerful throw to the keeper, Kusal Mendis. Suspect that Shanto was not expecting the throw to be so accurate and had to step on the accelerator around the midway mark. Towards the end, had to put in the dive and by that time, Kusal seemed to have taken the bails off. The Lankans started to celebrate but the umpire wanted double confirmation and sent it upstairs. The first replay was clear enough to show that Najmul was short, even with the dive but the third umpire took multiple replays before eventually being satisfied. OUT flashes on the giant screen and the crowd roars! The 71-run stand has been broken and Najmul Hossain Shanto departs for 23 (26). Bangladesh are 100/2 and need another 145 from 201 balls! 100/2

| Litton Das Wk | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
17.2 OUT! LBW! Sri Lanka overturn the onfield decision! Excellent use of the review. The googly, outside off, Litton Das lunged across to defend but missed as the ball spun back in and hit him on the pads. Hasaranga started off on a celebratory run, but the umpire stood firm. Were there two noises? No, says Hasaranga. His skipper and keeper have a chat and Wanindu is convinced this is gone. Asalanka signals the 'T' and UltraEdge returns a flat line, when the ball is close to the bat. Ball Tracking shows it to be hitting leg stump! 100 ODI WICKETS FOR HASARANGA and he is the second quickest Sri Lankan to this milestone! Litton comes and goes for a 4-baller and from 100/1, Bangladesh are now 101/3 in 17.2 overs! Equation - 144 from 196 balls. 101/3

| Tawhid Hridoy | 1 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 25 |
18.3 OUT! BOWLED! Third wicket to spin and Bangladesh are spiralling down here. Landed outside off, Tawhid Hridoy looks to defend but the ball pitches and then spins past in between bat and pad, to hit the timber! Hridoy does not know what has happened. Nor do Bangladesh. From 100/1, they have slipped to 103/5! Equation - 142 from 189. 1 (4) for Hridoy. 103/5

19.1 OUT! LBW! The skipper goes too! A googly, outside off, short of full length, Mehidy Hasan Miraz walks across his stumps to flick but misses and is hit on the pads. Hasaranga appeals and the umpire raises his finger. Mehidy takes the review but Ball Tracking shows it to be hitting leg stump! Wicket number 3 for 'Wow'indu and this is the second duck in the innings! From 100/1, Bangladesh have slipped to 103/6 and the equation reads - 142 from 185! 103/6
| Jaker Ali | 51 | 64 | 4 | 4 | 79.68 |
35.5 OUT! LBW! That ends the match as Hasaranga finishes with 4 scalps. Full, outside off, another googly, Jaker Ali gets down to sweep but misses and is hit on the pads. Hasaranga appeals and the umpire agrees. Jaker wants a review but there is none left. BANGLADESH BOWLED OUT FOR 167 AND SRI LANKA WIN BY 77 RUNS! 167/10

| Tanzim Hasan Sakib | 1 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 16.66 |
20.2 OUT! CAUGHT! Another stunner and Sanath Jayasuriya in the Lankan dugout is besides himself! Sri Lanka just can't do anything wrong in this last half hour. 6 wickets for 4 runs in the last 24 balls! A full toss, on middle, Tanzim leans and flicks it uppishly through mid-wicket. But Maheesh Theekshana at short mid-wicket leaps to his left and takes a very good catch! Second wicket to Kamindu and this is the 5th wicket to spin in this innings. Tanzim departs for 1 (6) and from 100/1, Bangladesh have slipped down to 104/7! Equation - 141 from 178! 104/7

| Taskin Ahmed | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
20.5 OUT! LBW! Another one bites the dust! Kamindu Mendis gets his second in the over, or does he? Taskin Ahmed takes the review after having a chat with his partner. UltraEdge confirms no bat involved, and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds. OUT it is! Coming to the delivery, Mendis bowls the arm ball, full and on middle, angling in a hit. Taskin strides out to defend but plays down the wrong line and gets hit on the pads. Number eight down for Bangladesh, and Taskin takes a review with himself as well. Sri Lanka just a couple of wickets away from the win now! 105/8

| Tanvir Islam | 5 | 19 | 1 | 0 | 26.31 |
28.4 OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Tanvir Islam fails to survive and Maheesh Theekshana gets his first wicket now. He bowls this quicker, short and outside off, angling away too. Islam backs away a bit and tries to cut it away but only manages to get a thin outside edge behind where Kusal Mendis takes a sharp catch. Bangladesh are 123/9 now, still needing 120 runs in 128 balls. Sri Lanka just one wicket away! 125/9
