So, that ends our coverage of the first match of the Indian T20 League, 2017. It was an excellent match to start off the new season, which promises to be another great one. Tomorrow we have the Maharashtra Derby on our hands as Pune host Mumbai. The action will begin at 2000 local time (1430 GMT). Until then, take care! Cheers!
MAN OF THE MATCH, YUVRAJ SINGH says that confidence is what got him through. Reckons that extra hours of practice has helped him a lot. Says that he was lucky as he got a reprieve and has learnt to deal with short balls better.
HYDERABAD SKIPPER, DAVID WARNER says that it is a fantastic start to the tournament. On his brilliant form against Bangalore, he replies that one can't always rely on stats and be on song. Adds that when you know your opposition has power-hitters like Chris Gayle and Shane Watson, you know that no target is big. Praises Yuvraj Singh for his efforts out there in the middle. Applauds Shikhar Dhawan and the debutant Rashid Khan for their performances tonight.
BANGALORE SKIPPER, SHANE WATSON says that they probably conceded a few more runs than they would have liked to. Admits that missing key players did hurt and added that their new combination couldn't execute under pressure. Says that he has enjoyed being appointed captain of Bangalore but hopes his side can win games too. States that they believed they could chase down 208 if they got a big partnership but that never happened. Hopes that his side can bounce back in the next game.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the Hyderabad bowlers. The others were slightly expensive but where the hosts scored was in taking regular wickets with Rashid Khan making an impressive debut. The fielding deserves special mention too, with Cutting's incredible run out of Jadhav being a massive moment in the game. Earlier in the evening, Hyderabad rode on Yuvraj's majestic 62 that led the charge for them to post a massive total of 207.
A thoroughly clinical performance by the defending champions to start their title defence in style. Chasing an imposing target of 208, Bangalore's top four all got breezy starts but nobody carried on to make a defining knock. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and although the run rate was in check most of the time, losing wickets hurt and eventually, the visitors ended well short of the target.
Ben Cutting to Aniket Choudhary
OUT! Jordan finishes things off with a direct hit. Short delivery, pulled to mid-wicket. Chahal from the bowler's end takes off but is sent back by his partner. Jordan the substitute is there at mid-wicket. He takes aim and shatters the woodwork with his throw at the non-striker's. Chahal is well out of his ground and that's it for Bangalore. HYDERABAD HAVE WON BY 35 RUNS!
SIX! Bouncer, angling into the batsman, Choudhary goes for the hook. Fails to connect it cleanly but it still goes over the fine leg fence for a maximum.
Ben Cutting to Yuzvendra Chahal

OUT! IN THE AIR... GONE! Slower one, angling in, Mills looks to go big. Mistimes his heave. The ball travels high in the night sky. Warner from long on, runs forward, stations himself underneath it and takes a superb catch.
SIX! Full outside off, Mills makes room and slices it over point for a huge biggie. That is some shot!
Fuller on the pads, clipped on the leg side for a single.
The batsman shows the full face of the bat and defends the ball off the back foot.
Leg bye! Angling down the leg side, Mills backs away but misses his flick. The ball goes off the thigh pad on the off side. A leg bye is taken.

Very full outside off, Chahal tries out the same thing but misses.
